Roulette Basics.

An unbiased summary. External links are directed to relevant sections within Wikipedia.

Roulette is a game based on mathematical probability; the principals of logic.

Two main types of Roulette exist - tables with one zero, and tables with a zero and a double zero. These are commonly known as European and American Roulette. Within these two main types some different rules are applied, relating to what happens when the ball lands on zero.

The best online casino Roulette variant is the single zero table playing La Partgae rule.

How to win at Roulette, how to beat Roulette, winning Roulette systems... the search for these answers will never end.

On the misconception of cheating online Roulette, predicting the next outcome, it is best explained like this: The next spin will produce a result which in no way is linked to any previous spins. The only way to predict the next outcome would be to have the mechanics of the algorithm used by the casino, if this information was made public than the casino would either become bankrupt or immediately change the algorithm.

However, this is where it gets interesting and is the cause of many good debates and our view is best described with another example. Before a Roulette wheel is spun, it is less probable to get 10 consecutive reds than to get 2 consecutive reds. Your local betting shop would give you greater odds for getting ten consecutive reds than getting two. Interestingly though, if the Roulette wheel has produced 9 consecutive reds then the 10th spin has the same odds of producing a red as a black!

One of the most widely-used Roulette systems is the Martingdale system.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martingale_(betting_system)

This involves doubling your bet when you lose. If you bet 1 unit on red and black comes up then you double your next bet on red, and so on. Why this fails is because this doubling quickly grows, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 etc. To combat this, casinos have table limits and you put yourself in a position where you have to bet a high value to win the original one unit stake.

With all the available videos, tutorials, and systems online one would think that all casinos would be bankrupt - I will leave it to your own imagination as to why they are not.
